Michael S. Demian, Esq.
Michael S. Demian (Michael) is the prinicipal attorney of the firm. Michael has a broad range of legal experience including civil and trust litigation, nonprofit compliance, and estate planning and administration. He is dedicated to client counseling and to ensuring that the estate planning, trust administration, or probate process is understandable and seamless for his clients.
Michael has devoted his practice to helping families and individuals properly plan for the well being of their loved ones by making sure each plan fits with each client’s individual circumstances, thereby minimizing tax exposure and expenses and maximizing distributions to beneficiaries and charities, while also avoiding probate and promoting peace of mind for the family. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration.
Michael began his legal career in employment law litigation/counseling and international charitable giving compliance before turning his focus to estate planning (including tax and charitable planning), trust administration, and probate. Prior to starting a legal career, Michael worked several years in international development for various international nonprofits and international organizations, spending much of his time focused on projects in the Middle East and Africa.
Michael received his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2011 where he was an editor for the Journal of International Law, a student volunteer for the Katherine & George Community Law Center in both employment and immigration law matters, a moot court finalist, and a winner of the State Bar of California’s annual writing competition in employment law.
Michael also received his Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis.
Michael is a member of the Bar Associations of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties.
